In August 2018, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco made its debut in the smartphone market with the Poco F1. Poco has recently come out of Xiaomi’s umbrella and got the badge of a different brand. The company’s second smartphone, the Poco X2, was launched just a month after receiving the independent brand. The company won the hearts of customers using the flagship chipset (Snapdragon 845) within reach of the Poco F1. Although in Poco X2 that equation has changed somewhat. Poco’s latest phone uses a midrange Snapdragon 730G chipset, but this phone has a great display and camera. The Poco X2 has been launched in India instead of the Redmi K30 4G variant launched in China last year.
The Poco X2 starts at Rs 15,999 at launch. Poco X2 will face competition from Realme X2, Redmi K20, and Redmi Note 8 Pro at this price. Undoubtedly, this phone will take the smartphone market by storm. How did the Poco X2 perform at a price of less than twenty thousand? Read reviews.
Poco X2 design
The Poco F1 used a simple plastic design. The Chinese company has changed that formula in Poco X2. The new Don has a bright and colorful glass design. In addition to the Poco branding on the back of the phone, there is a round camera module. There are a total of four cameras. With LED flash.
The front of the phone has a 6.67-inch hole-punch display. Below the display of this phone will be a dual selfie camera. The same design camera was used in the Galaxy S10 Plus phone.
This phone has a power button under the fingerprint sensor on the side. Having a fingerprint sensor on the right side of the phone can make it difficult to unlock the phone in the left hand. Above the power button is the volume button. Above the phone is the infrared blaster. The left side of the phone has a hybrid SIM slot. Two SIM cards or one SIM card and one micro SD card can be used here.
The company says that the X2 uses Gorilla Glass 5. The company will give a transparent case with the phone. Also in the box will be a SIM ejector pin, 27W fast charger, and a USB Type-C cable.

Poco X2 Performance and Battery Life
The Poco X2 will never feel slow to use the Snapdragon 730G chipset. Lag was seen in the user interface once or twice during the review. Although at the moment it has been fixed. We had an 8GB RAM variant in our hands at the time of this phone review. There was a problem with the finger reaching all the ends of the display while using this phone. This phone got a little hot while playing games and using the camera.
Great viewing angles can be found on the Poco X2 display. Although the hole-punch design on the top of the camera can annoy you. Inconsistencies have been observed in the backlight around the hole-punch cut-out. There is only one speaker at the bottom of this phone. Although the sound of this speaker is loud enough.
Poco X2 scored 2,80,912 in AnTuTu benchmark testing. The phone received 548 in the single-core test and 1,759 in the multi-core in the Geekbench 5 benchmark test.
PUBG Mobile is played in high preset by default mode. No lag was noticed while playing this game. Asphalt 9: No problem playing Legends. Great visual effects were seen in this game.
The X2 also performed well in the battery segment. This phone can be used all day on one charge. The Poco X2 lasted 13 hours and 43 minutes in our HD video loop test.
Poco X2 camera
The Poco X2 has a total of six beams. This phone has two cameras on the front and four on the back. The round camera module on the back of the Poco X2 has four cameras. The rear camera of this phone has a 64 megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor. It comes with a 5-megapixel macro camera, 2-megapixel depth sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera. The Poco X2’s dual selfie camera will have a 20-megapixel primary sensor. Will come with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. This camera can take pictures in 64-megapixel, Pro, Portrait, Night, Short Video, and Slow Motion modes.
There have been several problems locking focus on the primary camera while taking pictures. Good exposure and detail can be found in the pictures taken with this camera. Great matching shallow depth-of-field effect. Noise has also been seen in the shadow area in pictures taken in daylight.
Don’t expect very good pictures with a wide-angle camera. Most images on the macro camera will look over-exposed. However, there has been an improvement in the macro image when the shadow falls on the subject.
There is a way to control the blur in the portrait picture. Although in daylight the front camera blur will look artificial. Turning off beautification mode can also be frustrating.
The only mantra of success in the Bangladesh market is a great specification in water prices. And walking on that path, Poco has got success in Bangladesh in the last few years. Even if it doesn’t have the same specifications as the Poco F1, the Poco X2 will lose out to competitors. Phones like Realme X2, Redmi K20, Oppo F15, Vivo S1 Pro are available in the Indian market at a price of less than Rs 20,000. Next to the price of Poco X2, all these phones will look pale.
The Poco X2 has a powerful processor, memory, large storage, and battery. Although there is a lot of bloatware in the user interface of this phone. Unnecessary notifications can annoy you at any time.
The price of this phone will put Poco X2 ahead of the competitors. At first, it may be impossible to buy this phone in a flash cell.
